Recent Highlight About the Seirra Leone Karate Federation
The journey for the Sierra Leone Taekwondo team has come to an end at the All African Games in Ghana, but it was one filled with valor, determination, and moments of triumph. Despite falling short of medals, the athletes showcased their prowess on the mat, leaving a lasting impression. George Holland, competing in the -74kg category and seeded #7, opened the campaign with a resounding victory against Mozambique, clinching the match in dominant fashion with a 2-0 scoreline. However, his path to glory was halted in the subsequent match against the formidable #2 seed from Niger. Despite a stellar performance, George narrowly missed out on a medal, as his opponent went on to claim gold in the event. Trinity Noble, competing in the -62kg category and seeded #5, also displayed remarkable skill and determination. She secured a convincing victory over Chad in her first match, winning 2 rounds to 0. However, fate took an unfortunate turn as she sustained an injury during the bout, forcing her to withdraw from her next match against Tunisia. Despite the setback, Trinity's grit and determination were evident as she fought until the end, falling just one fight short of a medal.
